lNTRODUCTION:
This 2008
Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) Track Rules and
Regulations Manual will strive to make the rules as
complete and understandable as possible.
The rules and
regulations within are designed to provide for the
orderly conduct of racing events and to establish
minimum acceptable requirements for such events.
If any changes
from this Rules Manual as distributed on January 19,
2008, the changes will be for the given class(e's) at
the track on a Rules Update Sheet.
If you
converse with another person pertaining to the rules
it is best to point out the specific rule by quoting
or showing the page number, paragraph number, and
sub-paragraph in this manual.
When you are
not certain of any rule or its meaning you may ask a
CMS Tech or Race Official for clarification.

CAR/DRIVER
2008 REGISTRATION:
1. Car/Driver
Registration: For each car class that a driver
competes in he or she must be registered for the
racing season through use of the 2008 CMS
Registration Form. Each registration carries a fee of
$50.00. Registrations may be mailed with a check or
money order to: Central Missouri Speedway, 2807 S
Owens School Rd, Independence MO 64057 (After
February 17 th $60.00).
2. Car Numbers
Registration: Each car must be registered with the
number it carries. There will be No repeat w/o Letter
following number. Numbers will be assigned by CMS.
The numbers applied for must be approved; order of
approval will be based on the order of last year's
final point standings. First year drivers may choose
"open" numbers; first come, first served.
Car #'s must be contrasting to car color.
PITS/PIT
PASSES
1. Pit Entry
Requirements: Persons of any age will be able to be
admitted to the pits. All persons who are minors and
under 18 years of age must complete: a.) Waiver form
signed by a parent or guardian and b.) Understanding
Waiver signed by the minor person. All persons
entering the pits must pay the $25.00 pit fee subject
to change at special events and sign the correct
release form sheet.
2. Admission
Payment: Due to a high turn-over of insufficient
funds received in the past, all pit passes,
registrations, etc. must be paid in cash unless
special arrangements have been made.
3. Hot and
Cold Pits: "Cold Pits" are described as the
area in which your racecar, tow vehicle and trailers
are located. The "Hot Pits" are the service
pits located on the outside of the back straightaway
wall. (See General Race Rules, paragraph 3 for
explanation of usage of "Cold" and
"Hot" pits during competition.
4. Race
Track/Infield Area: Unless special assistance is
requested, no one other than CMS Officials will be
admitted to the track or infield area unless granted
permission or allowed to do so during intermission.
5. NO PETS
ALLOWED IN PITS!
6. 4-wheelers
must show proof of insurance. Drivers of 4-wheelers
must act responsibly. 5 m.p.h SPEED LIMIT AT ALL
TIMES!! NO MOTORSCOTTER OR BICYCLES!
Racing Events
Outline/Order
1. Weekly
Event Night: Unless a special event is added on other
nights, every event will be run on Saturday night
every week throughout the season.
2. Time Order:
Pits Open-4:00 PM, Drivers meeting-6:30 PM, Track
packing-6:45 PM, Hot Laps-7:00 PM, First Heat
Race-7:30 PM.

a) Heat
races;
1) All
heat races will be lined according to the
draw.
b)
Features Events:
1)
"A" features will be started
straight up according to the finishes in the
heat races.
4. NO
Alternative Starters: If there are cars that are
unable to run the "A" Feature events, there
are no substitutes.
5. Order of
Events:
a. Hot
laps: B Mods., Street Stocks, , ULMA Late Models
and Modifieds.
b. All
other events: B Mods., Street Stocks, ULMA Late
Models and Modifieds
Specials may
have different alignment.
6. Be on Time!
If you sign in after the line up has been posted, you
will be assigned to the rear of a heat race.
7. Stage
You Car on Time! If you are not
in the staging area when your race has been signaled
to move onto to the track, and the yellow light goes
out, you cannot come out onto the track. Instead, you
will be held in the staging area with the engine
running and if the initial 1st lap is not scored, due
to a yellow caution, you can come out on the tail
after the official has approved it, if the lap has
been scored you cannot come out.
8. Must
Self Start! If your car is
unable to self-start and is not running while in the
staging area and not on the track, you will NOT be
able to run in that event. We will not wait for
anyone for any reason.
9. Do NOT rely
solely upon the PA system to call you to staging, pay
attention to the lineup board and to the events being
ran!

PURSE PAYOFFS:
1. Payoff Time
and Location: The Purse payoffs will take place right
after the final finishes of your class have been
posted, after tech has been completed. If there are
any tech inspection issues, the payoff will be held
until the final decisions are made. The payment will
go only to the driver or car owner. A signature will
be required. No pay will be mailed. Payments
not picked up by the next racing program will become
void.
