(Warrensburg, MO) Central Missouri Speedway drivers and fans are more than ready to put last weekend’s wet weather behind them and return to action in a big way! Saturday marks Cliff Harris Ford Race Night at the track featuring USRA Modifieds, Street Stocks, Midwest Mod-Lites, USRA B-Mods, and Pure Stocks, plus the first appearance of the year for ULMA Late Models!
April racing produced memorable moments such as USRA Modified driver Jim Moody of Odessa grabbing two feature wins and firmly placing himself at the top of the pinnacle in Kansas City-based Modified racing as the man to beat. Moody has also found his way onto the nationally ranked RacinDirt.com Top 20 Driver’s Power Rankings and this week is ranked number at number 14 on the rankings among USMTS/USRA drivers through the Midwest.
Kansas City’s Jason Ryun also claimed two main-event wins in April as he fought hard to twice visit Victory Lane in the Pure Stock division. In Street Stock action, Bobby Ruff of Belton nosed out a win to take his first feature of the young season during the last night of racing in a crowd-pleasing main event against Brett Wood and Marc Carter while Michael Raffurty of Kansas City claimed his first Mod-Lite feature win of the year with yet another quickly ran Mod-Lite main event. Michael’s father, David Raffurty won the previous weekend. Previous CMS Track Champion Jacob Ebert of Oak Grove, drove to another a-main win in a backup car over a tough field of USRA B-Mod drivers.
