STREET STOCK
SPECIFICATIONS
1.) Body/Frame/Steering:
a.) Cars must be 1964 or
newer with stock firewall and floor intact and
pedals in stock location.
b.) All body parts must be
steel. Aluminum allowed for hole
fillers. After market steel body panels
allowed. No ground affects.
c.) The rear of car
trunk can be cut out to center of rear end.
d.) Passenger side
may be covered, but a removable or hinged
inspection cover at least 12"
by 12" must be installed.
e.) Wheel base must
be 107" minimum both sides measured center
lower ball joint to center rear axle housing.
f.) No sport cars
i.e. Mustang, Corvette. No station wagons
or trucks. Camaro with 108 inch wheel base allowed i.e. 1970-82.
g.) Must retain full
stock bumpers not to exceed outside of tire
tread, and edges must be rounded and smooth. After market or home built
bumpers must stay within quarters of the body.
h.) Hood must clear air
cleaner, or hole for air cleaner allowed provided
it is boxed in completely with no openings.
i.) Must retain
stock steering box in stock location. Quick
steering may be added only if it is
professionally manufactured.
j.) Front of car
must be stock appearing. No wedge nose.
k.) Car and driver must
weigh 3,100 pounds after feature.
2.) Roll Cage/Braces:
a.) Must be 4 post cage
with rear and front brace loops. Loops must
be the width of the frame with a maximum of 2
horizontal and 2 vertical bars behind front
bumper.
b.) There must be a
minimum of 4 side door bars on the drivers
side.
c.) All of the cage tubing
must be a minimum of 1-1/2" O.D. and minimum
of .093 wall thick.
d.) If fuel cell protrudes
below trunk floor, a loop must be installed
behind it lower than cell attached frame rail to
frame rail and braced. Exposed cells will
be in metal can.
e.) Each cage must have
guard bars centered in front of drivers
face. If constructed of tubing, there must
be at least 3 bars with a maximum 4" between
center lines and must be a minimum of 3/8"
O.D. . If constructed from solid bar, there must
be 4 bars with a minimum of 3" between
center lines and must be a minimum of 1/4" O.D. All
of the bars must be welded in place.
f.) All cage construction
will be inspected by the Tech Official and must
be approved.
3.) Tires/Wheels:
a.) Maximum tire sizes
allowed: 275-60/15 or 255-70/15. Must be
DOT approved.
b.) No truck, R.V. or mud
and snow tires. No recaps.
c.) I.M.C.A. stamped
Hooiser G-60, McCreary American Racer (KK-704)
allowed. Modified takeoffs allowed.
d.) Tires may be sipped
and grooved.
e.) Steel wheels only with
maximum 8" bead width.
f.) Bead lock and/or mud
plug on all four wheels is allowed.
g.) No bleed-off valves.
4.) Suspension/Brakes:
a.) All suspension
components must retain stock location on chassis.
b.) Shocks must be stock
appearing, steel and rubber or urethane
bushed. No rod ends.
c.) Springs must be stock
appearing and rear coils must be 5"
minimum. No mono-leafs or plastic.
d.) No pan hard
bars. No lift or pull bars. After market
rear trailing arms are allowed. After market
upper control arms allowed. No
Hiems type, tube type only. Trailing arms
must measure same, center to center.
e.) No weight jacking type
of devices allowed. No adjustable leaf
spring shackles. No adjustable brackets on rear end or front
suspension.
f.) Ball joints must be
stock type, may be heavy duty and reinforce with
a strap welded across arm to help keep them in.
g.) Can use aftermarket
master cyclinder and brake pedals. All
other components must be OEM. No drilling execpt
lugs. Cannot use adjustable brake bias.
Adjustable brake can not be hooked up.
h.) Brakes must operate on
all 4 wheels and no shut off or adjustable valves
allowed.
5.)
Transmissions/Clutches/Third Member:
a.) Transmission must be
OEM with all forward and reverse gears
functional.
b.) No aluminum flywheel,
mini-clutch, coupler or in and out box allowed.
c.) No after market
clutches. Automatics must operate with
factory torque converters. No down-sized torque converters.
d.) Car must start and
move under its own power.
e.) 9" Ford or
floater rear ends allowed in any car, but must
mount in stock location.
f.) No quick change rear
end.
g.) No aluminum drive
shafts, and drive shaft must be same diameter as
OEM.
h.) Rear end may be
locked. Mini-spool is allowed.
6.) Engines:
a.) Engine must match body
make: i.e. Ford to ford, GM to GM, etc.
Must be OEM cast iron
Block American make V-8 engines.
Engine casting numbers can
not be altered. Maximum 390 CID (2009
rules).
Heads - after market heads
allowed. Has to be 23 degree minimum 64cc.
Guide plates, screw in
studs, full aluminum roller rockers
allowed. Stud girdles and shaft rockers
allowed.
Flat top piston 2
valve relief or 4 valve relief or
dished pistons for (2009)
350 Block only for Chevy
351 Block only for Ford
360 Block only for
Chryslers
Track has options to
enforce these restrictions with cubic inch pump
gauge or by visually checking parts and part
numbers.
DISQUALIFICATION AND LOSS
OF POINTS IF FOUND ILLEGAL.
b.) Engine no further back
than center #1 plug hole with center upper ball
joint. Solid motor mounts
allowed.
c.) Intake manifold must
be Edelbrock Performance intake
NO EXCEPTIONS
- NO PORTING OR GASKET MATCHING
d.) Factory OEM mechanical
type fuel pumps only.
e.) Factory OEM wet sump
oil pump only, no belt drives. After market
oil pan allowed. No oil accumulators.
f.) Factory OEM
distributors only. Can use after market coils and
modules.
g.) Factory OEM 2 barrel
carburetors or Holley 500 2 barrel. Bores
are not to exceed 1-11/16". Choke
horns may be removed, linkage
may be altered, jets may be changed,
1-11/16". Choke horns may be removed, linkage may be altered,
jets may be changed, springs may be changed, 1
spacer under carburetor up to 2", and after market air
cleaner allowed.
h.) Racing tube type
exhaust headers allowed.
i.) Cams must be flat
tappet cams only. No mushroom or roller lifters
allowed. Can not alter lifter bores.
j.) Factory OEM type water
pump must be used and any other coolant
system components can be after market or modified to suit your
needs.
k.) Valve covers may be
modified or after market value covers may be
used.
