This
Saturday night is 98.5 FM The Bar Radio
Race Night at the high-banked dirt track featuring
all four CMS racing divisions, Modifieds, ULMA Late
Models, Street Stocks, and B-Modifieds. In a
repeat performance last week Mother Nature tried to
douse the Warrensburg area, but on Saturday the sun
and strong winds returned to help dry out the Central
Missouri Speedway - Kennys Tile track.
The track surface was once again in first-class shape
during the features for all the drivers in
attendance. Track owner Earl Walls announced an
increase in the payout for the lower end of the ULMA
Late Model, Street Stock and B-modified divisions to
help defray some of the increased cost of racing this
year.
The
drivers didnt disappoint the crowd on hand with
thrilling races throughout the evening. Current
points leader Jon Binning of Warrensburg drove
his machine into victory lane last weekend for
another victory at CMS by holding off a hard-charging
Jason Bodenhamer of Centerview. After technical
inspections concluded, Tammy Korff of Fulton was
awarded the top spot for her first feature win in the
street stock division. Bryan Montgomery of Oak
Grove was another first time feature winner last week
in the b-modified class. Aaron Marrant of
Orrick powered his car to the checkered flag past Tim
Karrick from Basehor, KS to stay on top in the in the
modified division.
This
weekend will be the final Saturday night ULMA late
model drivers can prepare for the June 21 CMS late
model $800 to win and $120 to start special feature
event. If the driver has raced at least twice
in the late model division at CMS this season, you
will not have to pay the $75 entry fee for this
race. ULMA rules apply and you will not have to
pay the CMS registration fee for this special.
This race will count as a ULMA points race
towards the season championship.
